Description
The Hamiltonstovare is a handsome, upstanding dog of striking colouring. Well proportioned, giving an impression of strength and stamina.The head is rectangular, with a longish muzzle and black nose. The eyes are dark brown. Ears are soft and fall down flat against the skull. A long and powerful neck, muscular shoulders well laid back, straight back, deep chest, legs strong and parrallel and a tail set high, almost upright. The tricoloured coat of black, brown and white is short and smooth with a dense undercoat and more wiry topcoat, ideal for all weather conditions.

Weight: 50-60lbs (22-27kg.)
An active, out going and friendly natured breed. Hamiltonstovares mix very well with other animals and people. They are very intelligent and quite easy to train. They are good with children, as they as full of fun, while still being very patient. They become very devoted to their family and will defend them if they need to, but they lack the aggression to be considered as a guard dog.
