There are a wide range of dog friendly hotels throughout Florida, and many of them not only allow pets but pamper them as well with special treats. In Jupiter Beach, the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa rolls out the red carpet for your furry friends with its Pampered Pups pet-friendly program. Dogs 25 pounds or less with the proper vaccinations can tag along with their owners to enjoy a relaxing holiday at the beach.
There are even special areas of the beach that are designated to help guests maximize their pet play time, including areas on the resort's private stretch of sand, Juno Beach's public beach, and the pup walking zone. A special excursion package is offered where guests can travel by water taxi from Singer Island to Peanut Island, and dine at six local pet-friendly restaurants.

The new 267 room Westin Houston Memoial City is one of the most dog friendly hotels in the city. The executive chef at the hotel is even creating a special menu just for the dogs, and room service will also be available for doggie dishes. The chef describes the menu as both national and international, with an emphasis on French techniques.
He has trained at the Western Culinary Institute in Portland and Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts, so that is likely to be some darn good dog food. The public relations director for the hotel is planning an exciting way to unveil the menu items when they're ready, which involves inviting local celebrities and their dogs to participate in a contest to judge which dishes prompt the most tail wagging.
